Maxwell is a photographer based in Austin, Texas, specializing in event, landscape and adventure photography. He began taking photos as a way to document the beautiful scenes and routes he was exploring on his rides - both as a way to capture memories and to share his adventures with family and friends. Quickly after, he fell in love with how his passion for cycling and photography spurred each other; and more importantly, he fell in love with the community of “adventure” cyclists he found through sharing his images. He has photographed events like the East Texas Showdown and been featured on Bikepacking.com and The Radavist. He takes pride in contributing to the growing Texas bikepacking scene - having created and documented two overnight routes near Austin.

Maxwell is a husband, dog dad and an individual in long term recovery. Based on his own experience, he is an advocate for mental health and the positive impact doing hard things in the outdoors has on one’s spirit. By sharing his images and living honestly about his past struggles with alcoholism, he hopes that others are inspired to experience the same joy he's found in this life. Or even find something that compels you enough to capture it.
